What is ShramSetu?
ShramSetu is AI-powered workforce management software for Indian MSMEs. It handles attendance, payroll, PF and ESI filing and labour-law compliance from a phone, with optional biometric device support.
Do I need biometric machines or any hardware?
No. Workers can mark attendance with a selfie on their own phone, and GPS checks their location, so there is nothing to buy or install. If you already use biometric devices, or prefer a fixed punch point at the gate, ShramSetu supports biometric attendance too.
How long does setup take?
About 15 minutes. Download the app, onboard your workers and go live. No training is needed.
Does ShramSetu file PF and ESI?
Yes. It calculates statutory contributions and e-files them to the government portals, and warns you before deadlines. PF/ESI auto-filing is included from the Growth plan.
Which labour laws does it cover?
All four labour codes: the Code on Wages, the Code on Social Security, the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, and the Industrial Relations Code. It updates automatically when regulations change.
How much does ShramSetu cost?
Starter is ₹1,499 a month for up to 10 employees, Growth is ₹3,499 a month for up to 50 employees, and Scale is ₹9,999 a month for up to 150 employees. Enterprise is customised to your needs, with pricing on request. Growth and Scale have optional add-ons such as field staff management, a web application and a custom domain. Partners have separate pricing through the Partner Program.
Can partners use ShramSetu for their clients?
Yes. The Partner Program lets a partner manage payroll and compliance for all their clients from one dashboard.
Do workers get their payslips on WhatsApp?
Yes. Salary slips, leave approvals and compliance alerts can be delivered on WhatsApp. WhatsApp alerts are included from the Growth plan. Workers can also see their own records, payslips and leave balance in the app.
Is employee and payroll data safe?
Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, access is role-based, and data handling is consent-first and aligned to the DPDP Act 2023. Employee and payroll data is never sold.
Does it work on cheap phones and weak networks?
Yes. ShramSetu is built for low-cost Android phones and patchy networks, works offline, and syncs securely once the phone is back online.
How does ShramSetu handle minimum wages?
When you set a salary, it is checked against the minimum wage for the work location. You can choose to follow the notified rate, or define your own wage policy.
Does it help with PF registration and UAN?
Yes. ShramSetu tracks each worker's UAN from enrolment to ECR-ready, handles transfers, and alerts you as your headcount nears the point where PF registration is required.
How does ESI work in ShramSetu?
It captures each worker's ESI IP number during onboarding and runs a pre-payroll check, so ESI problems are caught before you pay salaries.
Can it manage field staff, shifts and work from home?
Yes. Field staff check in with geo-tagged visits and distance-based travel claims. Rotating and night shifts have overtime calculated automatically. Hybrid and work-from-home days are handled with a monthly quota and approvals.
Can it handle contract and daily-wage workers?
Yes. ShramSetu supports daily-wage attendance and headcount by contractor, and wages can be paid straight to bank or UPI.
Are salary slips and letters available in Hindi?
Yes. Salary slips and letters are generated in English and Hindi, with your own branding, and the app supports Hindi, English and regional languages.
What records do I get for an inspection?
Attendance, wage registers, salary slips and filing receipts live in one employee record, so you can answer an inspector in minutes instead of days.
What if some of my workers do not have smartphones?
You can mark attendance for them, and bulk marking is supported. Workers can also get reminders, salary slips and leave updates on WhatsApp without installing the app.
Does ShramSetu handle full and final settlements?
Yes. Full and final settlements are calculated as per law, typically within 2 days, along with statutory deductions.
